Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, one of New Jersey’s leading luxury real estate services firms is hosting their 5th Annual Food Drive.

For the past 4 years, Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty has successfully partnered with Move For Hunger, a national non-profit organization, and will be doing so again this year. From now through November 30th, 2017, non-perishable food items will be collected at each of the 11 Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty offices throughout Northern New Jersey.

According to EndHungerNJ.org, the food insecurity rate in New Jersey is at 13% with 1,141,890 people being food insecure. “Many people in our community are in need of our help and it is imperative to us that we do what we can to make a positive impact in their lives.” Says Charles Oppler, COO and Co-Owner of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, “This event is a company favorite for everyone involved and we will contribute as much as we can. We invite anyone who would like to contribute to please drop off donations at any of our office locations.”

The contributions from Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty have helped many community members in need, in the past four food drives the firm has donated 68,000 pounds of food, which is the equivalent of 56,000 meals.

At the end of the drive, the food will be picked-up and delivered by Ridgewood Moving Services to the Center for Food Action in Ridgewood. All Seasons Movers, Inc. and Main Street Movers will pick-up and deliver donations to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside.
