Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty COVID-19 Community Involvement: Tenafly
Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty Tenafly Associate raises nearly $40,000 to support COVID first responders
Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty Sales Associate Orna Ben-Or Jackson of the Tenafly regional office united with local community members to raise funds to provide COVID first responders with healthy and nutritious meals.
Jackon began the initiative with four other local businesswomen in March of 2020 to provide meals to the doctors, medical staff, and families of first responders. The Support Our Medical Staff- Bergen Gofundme page was created with a tentative goal of $5,000; the auspicious group surpassed this goal in less than a day thanks to an overwhelming response from donors eager to participate.
“It has been an honor to be among this group,” says Ora Ben-Or Jackson, Sales Associate for the Tenafly regional office. “Being a part of an initiative so important in this trying time has truly been inspiring.”
The group has raised over $36,400 for this worthy cause with over 300 participating donors. By working with local restaurants they were able to deliver 3,000 meals to over 14 hospitals and over 22 families of Bergen County medical staff.
Participating restaurants in this endeavor include but are not limited to Gotan (Chelsea location), Schnitzel+ (Englewood), Brasserie, Hummus Vish, Farmhouse Cafe and Eatery (Cresskill), Remedy Organic, Bread Boutique and Cafe, Patisserie Florentine, and many more.
